• What’s included in the hourly rate for a local move?

  Taxes, dollies, wraps, pads, gas, labor, and truck(s) are all included. 

• When does the clock start for a local move? Leave office or move begins?

  The clock starts when we arrive at the origin location and ends when the job is completed.The clock will pause when breaks are taken by the crew.

• Is there a deposit? What happens if I need to cancel?

  There is no deposit required and no fee for cancelation.

• When do I pay for my move?

  For hourly moves, full payment is due upon delivery. Payment for an intrastate or interstate move is based on weight and distance traveled and due in full prior to delivery.

• Are you a licensed company?

  Yes, we are fully licensed and insured.

• Are you willing to put every commitment into writing?

  Yes, we are and customers are provided with all documents electronically.

• Do you have liability insurance? Are you insured in case of any accident or mishaps?

  Yes, we can provide a certificate of insurance with coverages upon request.

• What are we going to do if you miss the deadline?

  In the extremely rare event that a deadline is missed, we will contact you immediately to discuss an agreeable solution for all parties.

• Do you use new carton, wraps, and other packing materials?

  Yes, packing materials are new for each job.

• Do you have the required equipment for loading?

  Yes, we do.

• Do you have your own vehicles or do you rent them?

  We own our fleet of vehicles.

• Can you offer temporary storage? Is it climate controlled?

  We offer temporary and long-term storage at all locations. The storage is not climate controlled but we track temperatures in our warehouse to ensure they do not reach levels that would be harmful.

• Do you help with loading/unloading rental trucks and storage PODs?

  Yes, we can help with loading and unloading rental trucks and storage PODs.

• Do you offer packing services and packing supplies?

  Yes, we do.

• Do you mount/dismount TVs?

  We do not mount or dismount TVs.

• Can you assemble and/or disassemble furniture?

  Yes, we can.

• Can you disconnect and reconnect appliances?

  We are not able to provide this service due to issues with liability.

• Will you move items located in the attic?

  We are happy to move items located in the attic if it is a walk-in and finished room. If it isn’t a walk-in attic, we will move the items if they are brought down by the owner.

• Do you move out of state?

  We sure do!

• What can’t be moved?

  We have a complete list of prohibited items which includes any perishables, flammables, or toxic fluids and materials.

• Can I leave clothes in the dresser?

  We prefer the dressers to be empty but in some cases we are okay moving them with clothes in the bottom drawers only. If the crew determines that the item is too heavy or not sturdy enough to handle the weight, we will request for the items to be removed.

• Do I need to empty out filing cabinets when I move?

  We prefer file cabinets to be empty but in some cases we are okay moving them if files are located in the bottom drawer only. If the crew determines that the file cabinet is too heavy to be moved properly, we will request for the items to be removed.

• Do I need to empty the refrigerator in order to move it?

  Yes, the refrigerator needs to be completely empty.

• Will you move my plants?

  We can, however, we recommend finding an alternative if possible as plants generally take up a significant amount of space and may require an additional trip, thus adding time to the move. We cannot move plants if they will be in the truck overnight or moving across state lines.

• How big are your trucks?

  We have various sizes ranging from 16’ cube trucks to 52’ tractor trailers.

• Do you need to come look at my house before the move?

  It depends. If you need packing and/or have any items that will be difficult to move, we’ll definitely want to come out and take a look. We can also set up a virtual survey.

• Do you book same day moves?

  Yes, if we have the resources available we can definitely help! It all depends on our availability and the size of your move.

• Do the movers stop for lunch?

  It depends on the size of the move. If your move begins in the morning and is estimated to take longer than 4 hours, our crew will more than likely need to take a break for lunch.

• Does the clock stop for lunch on local moves?

  Yes.

• What happens if there is bad weather on move day?

  We will either reschedule or do our best to cover your materials and work with the weather, assuming the customer is okay with proceeding.

• You have some bad reviews. Why?

  We have moved considerably more people than what is reflected on review sites. The vast majority of those moves have been positive experiences for our customers. Unfortunately, customers with a great experience don’t always have the time to leave us a positive review. We strive for excellence and we investigate and respond to any reviews that we receive to come up with an agreeable solutions for all parties.

• Can I ride in the cab of the moving truck with the movers?

  No, this is not allowed due to liability issues.

• Do you offer unpacking services?

  Yes, generally on an hourly basis but it all depends on the type of move.

• I was hoping to leave items wrapped in moving pads until my next move. Can you help me with this?

  If you purchase your own moving pads, we are able to leave items wrapped. However, we would no longer be liable for claims at that point.

• What happens if I have multiple drop off or pick up locations?

  This is perfectly fine. Multiple stops are factored into the estimate.
